All-American Cream Ale - Yankee Brewer kit

This beer is more golden in color, with a small amount of adjunct grains (rice and corn) added for authenticity. Cream Ale is another style that is unique to the U.S. and is usually fermented as an ale, and then cold-stored to smooth the flavor out. If you can ferment and bottle as you normally do, and then refrigerate or keep the bottled beer in a cool cellar, you will have a very nice beer to serve during summer outings. Look for a good carbonation level and rich, creamy head. Sometimes called Golden ale this beer has a light enough color to please your non brewing friends, but plenty of flavor and body for you. this type was brewed extensively in the north east before and after prohibition. Original Gravity 1.042-44 Finishing Gravity 1.010-12 Alcohol by volume 4-4.5%
